Attacks Continue Amid Escalating Violence in Israel

At least 30 people have been killed and hundreds injured in escalating violence in Israel and the West Bank over the last two weeks.

More than 20 Israelis have been injured in apparent targeted attacks since Thursday, when seven people were stabbed. Three people were stabbed Monday in Jerusalem. Ataxi driver was attacked in Tel Aviv by a female passenger but overpowered his assailant, i24 News reported. Two teenaged boys, identified by family as Ahmad and Hasan Manasra, were shot and killed in East Jerusalem after allegedly stabbing another teenager.

Two weeks ago, an Israeli couple was shot and killed in front of their four children in the West Bank. On Thursday police stationed metal detectors at the Jaffa and Damascus gates to Jerusalem’s Old City, where two Jewish men were killed the previous week.

On Friday, police shot a woman in the Afula Central Bus Station after she allegedly tried to stab a guard. Police arrested a 17-year-old Israeli who allegedly stabbed three Palestinians and a Bedouin man in Dimona.

At least 26 Palestinians have been killed in the last 12 days, including eight allegedly attackers. Many more people have been injured in clashes.

Six people were reported killed Friday in clashes in Gaza. A 30-year old pregnant woman and a toddler were reported killed by an airstrike in Gaza on Saturday.

Palestinian groups called for a “day of rage” to be held Tuesday.
