Belgian Police Arrest Five in Connection With Paris Attacks

Belgian police carried out searches in a Brussels neighborhood and arrested five people in connection with Friday’s attacks in Paris.

In a press conference Saturday, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins said three of the people arrested in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean were not previously known to French intelligence services.

Local media had reported that a parking ticket issued in the neighborhood was found on the body of one of the suspected attackers. Molins said the attackers leased two cars in Belgium.

On Sunday, the Belgian federal prosecutor said two of the French assailants lived in Brussels.
