At least 15 people were killed and over 30 wounded when a bomb exploded on a bus Wednesday in the northern Pakistani city of Peshawar.
The bus carrying more than 50 government employees was travelling through a congested road in Peshawar near a mosque when an improvised explosive device went off, police official Abbas Majeed Marwa said.

Rescuers had to cut through the bus to pull out several of the victims, both dead and wounded, said another police official, Mubarak Zeb. He said some 8 kilograms of explosives was used in the bomb.
Rehman Ullah, a waiter in a nearby restaurant said: “I thought it happened inside the mosque, but suddenly I heard cries of people from inside the bus.”
Television pictures showed the vehicle partially destroyed and some of the wounded being taken to a hospital.
