At least 19 people have died and 25 others were injured after a bus carrying 43 Egyptians crashed in Saudi Arabia, according to Egyptian media.

The bus was traveling between Medina and Mecca at the time of the crash as pilgrims were performing umrah. Umrah is a smaller Muslim pilgrimage that can be done at any time of the year, unlike the annual hajj pilgrimage.

The crash comes days after 16 Palestinian pilgrims were killed when their bus crash in a remote part of southern Jordan on its way to the West Bank.
