At Least Two Americans, Three Dutch Confirmed Dead in Brussels Attacks

At least two American citizens and three Dutch citizens are confirmed dead in this week’s attacks in Brussels, officials said Friday.

The U.S. official did not say how many American citizens died in the attack, but said the families of two Americans had been informed of their deaths in Tuesday’s attacks.

The official, who was not authorized to speak to the matter publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity, according to AP.

Dutch foreign minister Bert Koenders said on Friday the three Dutch victims were a woman from the city of Deventer, and a twin-brother and -sister from the province of Limburg. The twins were living in New York.

Other confirmed victims are from Belgium, Great Brittain and Peru.
