Belgium prosecutors have charged two new suspects with terrorist offenses, they said on Tuesday.

The two men reportedly had links with the rental of a ‘safe house’ in the Etterbeek area of Brussels which was used in connection with carrying out the Brussels airport and metro attacks on March 22.
“An investigating magistrate on Monday ordered Smail F., born in 1984, and Ibrahim F., born in 1988, held on charges of participating in the activities of a terrorist group, terrorist murder and attempted terrorist murder as perpetrators, co-perpetrators or accomplices,” Belgium’s prosecutors office said in a statement.
Authorities have said no further information about the arrests would be released at this time.
