Eight new arrests have been made in connection with the Bastille Day truck attack in Nice that left 86 people dead.

Paris Prosecutors said Tuesday morning that the suspects were linked to the attacker, Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel.

The arrests were made on Monday in the Alpes-Maritimes region in the southeastern corner of France. The eight men arrested are believed to be Tunisian and French nationals.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the July 14 attack that occurred near the Promenade des Anglais running along the city’s southern coast. A 19-ton truck mounted a sidewalk at approximately 40 mph and steered directly towards men, women, and children over a stretch of around a mile.
