Pakistan Airlines Flight 661 ‘Lost’ in the North of the Country

A Pakistan Airlines flight with more than 40 people on board disappears from Radar in the north of the country, according to local media.

“We regret to inform that PIA’s ATR-42 aircraft operating as PK-661, carrying around 40 persons lost its contact with control tower on its way from Chitral to Islamabad a short while ago. All resources are being mobilized to locate the aircraft,” PIA spokesperson Danial Gilani said.

Geo News and Dawn News TV stations, citing civil aviation sources, said the plane lost contact with civil aviation authority at around 4.30 p.m. local time, 6:30 a.m. EST.
