Multiple people killed, many injured after train collides with bus in Biloxi, Mississippi

At least three people were killed and dozens were injured on Tuesday after a train collided with a charter bus traveling from Austin, Texas to Biloxi, Mississippi, according to authorities. About 50 people were on the bus at the time of the accident. Officials confirmed 35 were transported to nearby hospitals. A CSX train hit the bus at the Main Street crossing at approximately 2 p.m. local time. Biloxi Police Chief John Miller said it is unclear why the bus was stopped on the tracks. The train was traveling from New Orleans, Louisiana to Mobile, Alabama. A spokesperson for CSX stated that no one on the train was injured. The National Transportation Safety Board stated it was gathering information on the crash. This is not the first train crash at the crossing on Main Street in Biloxi. In January, a train collided with a Pepsi delivery truck that was stuck on the tracks. (Story developing)
