Do they Turkish airstrikes in Iraq make it more risky for US or coalition forces to operate with Peshmerga? How will risk be mitigated?
Dorrian: If we follow the procedures that are in place, we can conduct operations safely.
More-extensive efforts to avoid civilian casualties than have been employed than by any coalition in history.
Even with the best tech and procedures, perfection is probably an unachievable goal.

How is ISIL using drones?
Dorrian: What we’ve seen in Mosul are commercial off the shelf drones to surveil and drop grenade-sized munitions. It presents a tremendous amount of danger. When seen cases where multiple drones have been used at any one time.
Most recently we’ve been able to provide equipment to disrupt that. Electronic warfare capabilities.
A lot fewer munitions drops recently.
.@OIRSpox clarifies that US/coalition forces that were 6 miles from #Turkey airstrikes were in #Syria, not N. #Iraq (Turkey hit both areas)
