Two people are dead and four others injured after a person shot a weapon inside the Clovis-Carver Public Library in Clovis, New Mexico on Monday, August 28th. Clovis City Manager Tom Phelps confirmed the deaths to local newspaper Eastern New Mexico News.

Clovis police officers responded to the library after 4 p.m. on Monday after receiving a call of an active shooter inside the building.
Assistant City Manager Claire Burroughs told the New York Daily News that one suspect has been taken into custody.
