Venezuela’s Public Ministry announced on Sunday, September 17, that it had charged a man allegedly involved in the helicopter attack on government buildings last June.

Oscar Perez, a 13-year veteran officer of Venezuela’s federal police forensic and intelligence unit, claimed responsibility for the attack in a 5-part Instagram video. The video has since been removed. Perez fired 15 shots at the Interior Ministry before the flying to the country’s supreme court and dropping four grenades on the building.

Frank Cabana was charged with “complicity and association of terrorism.” The Public Ministry said on Twitter that Cabana was linked to Perez, but offered no other information.

According to the government, Perez wasn’t alone in the helicopter during the attacks, but it’s unclear what Cabana’s link to Perez is.

Authorities have not found Perez.
