Washington Governor Jay Inslee announced in a statement that he will “sign a statewide emergency proclamation tomorrow to temporarily shut down restaurants, bars, and entertainment and recreational facilities.” Restaurants won't be allowed to facilitate in-person dining, but can still serve delivery and takeout. All gatherings with over 50 people are banned, however the ban won't apply to grocery stores and pharmacies.
CBP increased staffing at all locations to process travelers impacted by the proclamation and refined the screening process logistics to ease impacts caused by the large volume of travelers requiring enhanced health screening. Implementing these measures helped reduce wait times.
