The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has sickened at least 153,517 people and killed 5,735, according to the latest World Health Organization data release 15 March 2020. The total number of cases of infection is believed to be higher than what has been reported due to limited testing.

Some grocery stores are opening their doors early or designating certain hours for elderly customers to shop. Older people are thought to be disproportionally more at risk for serious illness from COVID-19 infections, and a high number of those who have died are over the age of 80 (based on early data from China).
Air France-KLM will ground its entire A380 and Boeing 747 fleet and reduce capacity by 70-80% over the next two months.
The company said the public health emergency declared in France, restrictions on the movement of travellers, and reduced demand were behind the decision.
