A man arrested last month near UK Parliament buildings has been charged with three terror offenses, London’s Metropolitan Police said on Tuesday, May 9.

Khalid Mohammed Omar Ali was arrested in Whitehall on April 27 on suspicion of plotting a terrorist attack.

The 27-year old was charged with one count of intention to commit acts of terrorism and two counts of making or possessing explosives with intent to endanger life or cause serious injury.

The explosives charges are in connection with activity in Afghanistan in 2012, Met Police said.
